Shopify Development

03About HOTY

Not another
Shopify agency.

We combine design, development and ecommerce thinking to build Shopify stores made to scale. No account managers in between — you work directly with the people designing and writing the code.

Focus: Shopify
Based in: Tucumán, AR
Working: Worldwide

Why HOTY

Seven principles behind every store we ship.

01

Built for Shopify

Native Online Store 2.0 architecture — sections, blocks, metafields — never a platform workaround.

02

Performance first

Every theme is built against Core Web Vitals budgets from the first commit, not patched at the end.

03

Conversion focused

Layouts, product pages and cart flows designed around how people actually buy.

04

Clean development

Readable Liquid, versioned in Git, documented so any developer can pick it up.

05

Easy to manage

Your team edits content, collections and campaigns from the theme editor, without us.

06

Mobile first

Designed for the thumb first, then scaled up — because that is where most sessions happen.

07

Technical by default

Integrations, APIs and automations are part of the build, not an afterthought.

04Process

From brief
to live store.

Four clear stages with review points at every milestone, so you always know what's being built and what comes next.

01
Discovery
We audit your store or idea, your catalog and your customers, then define scope, priorities and success criteria.
- Store & UX audit
- Technical scope
- Roadmap
02
Design
A focused design system and high-fidelity layouts for the templates that matter most — prototyped for mobile first.
- Design system
- Key templates
- Clickable prototype
03
Development
Custom Liquid, sections and integrations built in Git, with staging previews you can review at every milestone.
- Theme build
- Sections & blocks
- Integrations
04
Launch & Optimize
QA across devices, a careful go-live and post-launch iteration on speed and conversion using real data.
- QA & go-live
- Performance pass
- Iteration plan

05Shopify Partners

Built inside the Shopify ecosystem.

HOTY is part of the Shopify Partners program — the global network of developers, designers and agencies that build for merchants on Shopify.

We build with the platform, not around it: native theme architecture, the theme editor, metafields and Shopify's APIs. The result is a store your team can run confidently after launch.

Shopify is our focus and where most of our work happens. When a project needs it, we also build with Next.js and React — for headless storefronts, landing pages or custom tools around your store.
Both. We build fully custom Online Store 2.0 themes, and we also extend or redesign existing themes when that is the faster, smarter path for your budget.
It depends on scope. A complete store build typically takes 4–8 weeks including discovery, design, development and QA. Focused work like custom sections or a performance pass is much shorter.
Yes. Everything we build is configurable from the Shopify theme editor — sections, blocks, colors, content and collections — so day-to-day changes don't need a developer.
Usually, yes. We audit theme code, apps, images and scripts against Core Web Vitals, then fix what slows the store down, starting with the changes that matter most.
Yes. We're based in Tucumán, Argentina and work remotely with brands in different countries, in English and Spanish.
